Besides ancestor spirits, Kuy believe in other mother nature spirits including that with the watch lizard (takuat) which they believe that for being image of fertility. The Kuy complete ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and ask for fertility from mother nature. They would also go ahead and take tail with the lizard to utilize in divination
